Welcome aboard new Group Visitors Manager

Aug 31, 2015

Group visitors, including schools, scouts, seniors and bus tours, will be familiar sights at GulfQuest shortly after the September 26 grand opening. Ensuring that each group visit is exceptional is a top priority for GulfQuest, and one that will be implemented in part by Stacey Stater, the museum’s new Group Visitors Manager.

Stater, whose position comes under the direction of Visitor Services Director Candice Frazier, comes to GulfQuest from Walt Disney World Resorts. For the past six years Stater worked her way up through Disney World guest services, from Concierge Hostess to VIP Tour Services Coordinator where she provided VIP tours and services for families and groups. At GulfQuest, Stater will oversee the reservations process and make sure that groups visiting Gulfquest have a first-class experience. She will also manage a team of part-time employees in reservations and maintain a presence with groups visiting the National Maritime Museum.

“We are very excited to welcome Stacey,” Tony Zodrow, Executive Director said. “Disney has very high standards for customer service, and Stacey seems to embody those standards in every way. I feel very confident that every group visitor to GulfQuest will have a fantastic experience from beginning to end.”

“I am very excited to be a part of this amazing Museum that will bring the rich history and traditions of the Gulf of Mexico to life for everyone that comes to visit,” Stater said. “Hopefully, with our interactive exhibits and simulators, we will spark a renewed interest in what the Maritime field has to offer young and inquisitive minds.”

Stater received a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Southern Mississippi.
