“GulfQuest is yet another reason to celebrate Mobile. Mobile is fast earning the title of a city where dreams come true.”

“Ship Shape” on the Waterfront

GulfQuest will be housed inside a 90,000 sq. ft. structure shaped like a vessel headed out to sea.

On the north end, a large globe protrudes through the roof, representing the Gulf’s connection to the world. On the south end, GulfQuest’s “bridge” adds to the building’s nautical look – and serves as home to a high-tech interactive exhibit.

GulfQuest will become the centerpiece of Mobile Landing, the city’s new development on the downtown waterfront, which already is home to the Arthur Outlaw Convention Center, the Alabama Cruise Terminal, and a riverside park/amphitheater.

In addition to GulfQuest, this structure will house a ferry terminal with passenger service that links the Mobile waterfront to other Mobile Bay locations.
